Allows commissioners or heads of state agencies to request exceptions to the state's restrictions on artificial intelligence use (RSA 5-D)

Requires the Department of Information Technology to establish a procedure for processing exception requests within 30 days of the act taking effect

Exception requests must include the agency's purpose for needing the exception and any other information required by the Department of Information Technology

Creates a two-step approval process: the Commissioner of Information Technology must first approve the request, then the Executive Council makes the final decision on whether to grant or deny the exception

Takes effect upon passage
