Increases juror compensation from the current $10 per half-day ($20 per full day) to the federal rate of $50 per day as established by 28 U.S.C. section 1871

Eliminates the distinction between half-day and full-day attendance for compensation purposes, paying jurors a flat daily rate

Maintains the existing mileage reimbursement rate of $0.20 per mile for travel to and from court

Estimated to increase state General Fund expenditures by more than $370,567 in FY 2027 (partial year) and more than $740,000 annually beginning in FY 2028

Takes effect January 1, 2027
