Exempts persons on boats operating at no-wake speed or not exceeding 1.5 times headway speed from the prohibition on carrying loaded firearms, cocked crossbows, and loaded rifles/shotguns on mechanically-propelled boats

Redefines "loaded" firearm to mean a round is chambered in the breech; a firearm with ammunition only in an attached magazine (but no round chambered) is not considered loaded

Specifies muzzle-loading firearms are only considered loaded if charged with powder and ball AND primed with a percussion cap or powder in the frizzen pan

Removes the existing exemption for law enforcement officers carrying firearms in the line of duty from this section of law

Takes effect January 1, 2027
