Reduces the default maximum duration of unemployment compensation benefits from 26 weeks to 20 weeks per benefit year

Automatically extends benefits to 26 weeks when statewide weekly unemployment claims exceed 4,000 for 3 consecutive weeks

Returns benefits to the 20-week maximum when weekly claims fall to 4,000 or below for 3 consecutive weeks

Requires the Department of Employment Security to monitor weekly filings, notify the public of changes to benefit eligibility duration, and update all informational materials and online systems accordingly

Takes effect 60 days after passage
