Prohibits individuals from simultaneously holding certain incompatible municipal offices, including combinations of selectman, treasurer, moderator, trustee of trust funds, tax collector, auditor, highway agent, and full-time police chief

Bars full-time municipal employees and department heads from serving as selectmen, on planning boards (except as expressly allowed), or on any budget or finance-related boards of the same municipality

Prevents town clerks from holding other elected or appointed offices except tax collector or deputy tax collector, and bars selectmen from also serving on school boards or boards of assessors in the same town

Prohibits municipal employees who provide support for local land use boards from serving on those same boards

Allows current officeholders with newly conflicting positions to remain until the next elections are held, with alternates treated the same as full members for conflict purposes
