Witnesses required to return to court on subsequent days through no fault of their own become eligible for daily attendance fees and mileage reimbursement

Fee and mileage rates will match federal witness standards set in 28 U.S.C. section 1821

Mileage reimbursement applies when witnesses must travel outside their city or town of residence to testify

Takes effect January 1, 2026, with indeterminable state expenditure increases funded through the General Fund
