Registered tier II or tier III sex offenders whose offense was against a child under 13 years of age would commit a violation if they knowingly appear within 1,000 feet of childcare facilities, churches, schools, or areas where minor children congregate under circumstances warranting alarm for safety

The restriction applies only when circumstances would "warrant alarm for the safety of persons in the vicinity," not as an absolute geographic prohibition

The offense is classified as a violation (the lowest level offense in New Hampshire)

The bill was requested by the New Hampshire Department of Safety
