Health care providers diagnosing or treating breast cancer must concurrently order ultrasound evaluations, MRI scans, three-dimensional mammography, or other additional breast testing when ordering mammograms for women with additional breast cancer risk factors

All health insurers, including hospital service corporations, medical service corporations, health maintenance organizations, and individual/group health plans, must cover the concurrent additional testing ordered alongside mammograms

Coverage requirements extend to the State Health Benefits Program and School Employees' Health Benefits Program

The bill takes effect on the first day of the fourth month following enactment and applies to all contracts and policies delivered, issued, executed, or renewed after the effective date

The Commissioner of Health is authorized to adopt rules and regulations necessary to implement the concurrent ordering requirements
