Exempts volunteer fire companies from the charitable organization registration requirements under New Jersey's Charitable Registration and Investigation Act of 1994

Applies to volunteer fire companies organized under Title 15 or Title 15A of New Jersey Statutes, as well as those constituted in fire districts pursuant to N.J.S.40A:14-70

Currently, charitable organizations raising between $100,000 and $500,000 pay $150 in registration fees, with those raising $25,000 or less already exempt

Approximately 750 fire organizations would benefit from this exemption, saving a combined total of approximately $52,000 in fees

Takes effect on the first day of the second month after enactment
