Mandates at least 1.5 hours of the training focus specifically on sexual violence issues, including dynamics of sexual violence, impact on survivors and families, risk factors, lethality assessments, and relevant statutory and case law

Expands existing training requirements to cover sexual offenses occurring outside the domestic violence context, not just domestic violence cases

Maintains requirements for initial training within 90 days of appointment or transfer and annual in-service training for all covered judges and judicial personnel

Addresses a gap in current law where municipal court judges hearing domestic violence cases have no minimum training hour requirements, while Superior Court judges receive substantial training
