Removes limits on the number of criminal convictions a person may expunge, allowing expungement of one or more crimes regardless of prior or subsequent convictions in New Jersey or other jurisdictions

Eliminates the previous cap on disorderly persons and petty disorderly persons offenses that can be expunged, permitting expungement of multiple offenses without numerical restrictions

Removes the prohibition against obtaining a second expungement, allowing individuals who previously had a criminal conviction expunged to seek expungement of additional convictions

Reduces the waiting period for expungement applications from six years to five years from the date of most recent conviction, payment of court-ordered financial assessments, completion of probation/parole, or release from incarceration

Expands eligibility for expungement of controlled dangerous substance convictions by removing the requirement that such convictions be third or fourth degree offenses, allowing expungement when the court finds compelling circumstances exist
