Creates a new third degree crime of "gang assault" when a person intentionally causes bodily injury to another while aided by two or more other persons actually present at the scene

Defines "bodily injury" as physical pain, illness, or any impairment of physical condition, consistent with existing N.J.S.2C:11-1

Third degree crime carries a sentence of 3-5 years imprisonment, a fine of up to $15,000, or both
