Policies must be reviewed and updated at least annually

Pregnant firefighters must receive information about when certain job tasks may be inappropriate, leave time options for pregnancy, and continuation of employee benefits

Fire departments must follow standards from the National Fire Protection Association or similar professional organizations when creating these policies
