Retailers offering digital coupons must provide rainchecks valid for at least 60 days when advertised items are out of stock, allowing consumers to purchase at the same discounted price or terms

Digital coupons are defined as store coupons, rebates, or discounts advertised in weekly circulars or online that are redeemable at retail locations and obtained through personal devices like smartphones, tablets, or computers

Retailers are exempt from the raincheck requirement if the digital coupon clearly and conspicuously discloses that the offer is valid only while supplies last

Violations constitute an unlawful practice under New Jersey's Consumer Fraud Act (P.L.1960, c.39)

The bill takes effect immediately upon enactment
