Amends the New Jersey Smoke-Free Air Act to prohibit smoking within 20 feet of the exterior of any building that is an indoor public place or workplace

Maintains existing exceptions for tobacco retail establishments, tobacco businesses, casinos, and certain cigar bars and lounges

Current law only prohibits smoking inside indoor public places and workplaces, not in outdoor areas near these buildings

Existing prohibition on smoking on the grounds of public or nonpublic elementary and secondary schools remains unchanged

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
