Institutions of higher education must place automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in unlocked locations in each athletic facility and student center, accessible during normal operating hours and within reasonable proximity of athletic fields

At least two staff members trained in CPR and AED use must be present in athletic facilities and student centers during normal operating hours, and defibrillators must be tested and maintained per manufacturer guidelines

Colleges and universities must obtain naloxone hydrochloride nasal spray through standing orders and place it near AEDs in secure, easily accessible locations with identifying signs for opioid overdose emergencies

A licensed campus medical professional must be designated to oversee the naloxone program, including maintenance and designation of community members authorized to administer the nasal spray

Institutions, staff, medical professionals, and pharmacists acting in good faith are granted immunity from civil liability for AED use and naloxone administration under this act
