Designates May of each year as "Water Safety Month" in New Jersey to raise awareness for safe water practices and accident and drowning prevention

Encourages the Department of Education, in consultation with the Department of Health, to provide resources to school districts for water safety presentations and educational activities during Water Safety Month

Targets students in grades kindergarten through five for water safety education, with presentations potentially held in partnership with nonprofit organizations

Takes effect 180 days following enactment

Cites CDC statistics that drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1-4 and second leading cause of unintentional injury death for ages 5-14
