Military-connected students receive priority enrollment in inter-district agreements, including waivers from residency duration requirements, protection from discrimination, and guaranteed admission regardless of district capacity with documented military orders

Parents of military-connected students who relocate mid-year may keep their child enrolled in the original district through the school year, or through high school graduation if the move occurs during 11th grade

Military families unable to access housing within 30 days of arriving at a duty station may enroll children in schools serving military installation residents within 10 days of arrival

Military-connected students in districts meeting less than 80% of quality performance indicators may transfer to schools serving military installation families

"Military-connected student" broadly includes dependents of active duty members (all branches including Space Force), National Guard, reserves, retirees, medically discharged veterans, those killed on active duty, NOAA/Public Health Service uniformed members, DoD civilian employees, and certain school employees near military installations
