Prohibits selling, licensing, or providing algorithmic software to landlords that sets, recommends, or advises on rental prices or occupancy rates using non-public competitor data

Bans landlords from using such algorithmic devices when setting rents or occupancy rates for residential units in New Jersey

Each month of violation and each affected dwelling unit constitutes a separate violation, with civil penalties up to $1,000 per violation

Excludes from the ban: trade association reports publishing aggregated anonymous renter data, and products used to establish rent limits under government affordable housing programs

Authorizes the Attorney General to file civil actions seeking damages, injunctive relief, restitution of illegal profits, and attorney's fees for violations
