Establishes a certified nurse aide funding program through the Department of Health to distribute money to employers, enabling certified nurse aides to be compensated at their typical CNA pay rate when working as direct support professionals

Requires the Commissioner of Health to create an application process, guidelines, and compliance standards for the funding program

Mandates that New Jersey Board of Nursing-approved nursing schools grant academic credit toward nursing degrees for students who work as direct support professionals

Appropriates funds from the General Fund to the Department of Health to implement the program

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
