Prohibits the New Jersey Board from approving applications for new crematory construction if the proposed site is within 1,000 feet of public or private schools, residentially zoned areas, or parks, playgrounds, beaches, recreation areas, and similar public spaces

Maintains existing requirement that crematories must be located on dedicated cemetery property, not on land exclusively devoted to crematory operations or cremated remains disposition

Exempts crematories operated in conjunction with funeral homes from the cemetery property location requirement

Applies retroactively to January 1, 2025, meaning applications submitted after that date are subject to the new 1,000-foot restriction
