Students enrolled at New Jersey institutions of higher education would receive priority course registration if they are state residents and parents or legal guardians of a child under 18 years old

Priority registration would only apply at institutions that already offer priority registration to other student groups (such as student-athletes, students with disabilities, or military service members)

Institutions must use the same priority registration procedures for student parents as they do for other groups receiving priority registration

Colleges and universities are required to notify eligible student parents about priority registration opportunities before each academic semester's registration period
