Subscription service providers must allow consumers to cancel subscriptions using the same method they used to sign up (in person, phone, mail, email, or online)

Online subscription services must provide an easily accessible direct link or cancellation button on their website, either through the customer account/profile or via a pre-formatted termination email

Providers using "negative option features" (where silence equals acceptance) are prohibited from misrepresenting material facts, must disclose terms before collecting billing information, and must obtain express consent before charging

Exempts services from businesses licensed or regulated by state or federal agencies, including the Board of Public Utilities, FCC, Department of Banking and Insurance, and Division of Consumer Affairs

Enforcement is limited to the Attorney General or Division of Consumer Affairs seeking injunctions and restitution; no private right of action is permitted under this law
