Requires the Attorney General to establish a 90-day pilot program providing ballistics scanning devices to local law enforcement agencies in the 10 municipalities with the highest violent crime rates based on Uniform Crime Report data

Participating law enforcement agencies must use the devices as part of their evidentiary, firearm intelligence, and investigatory processes

Chief law enforcement officers must submit reports to the Attorney General within 30 days of program completion detailing each incident where the device was used and recommending whether to continue using it

Attorney General must issue a report to the Governor and Legislature within 60 days of receiving agency reports, recommending whether to make the pilot program permanent with annual funding
