Retail food stores are prohibited from increasing the price of staple food goods more than once per day

Staple food goods include cereals, bakery products, meats, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy, fruits, and vegetables intended for home preparation and consumption

Civil penalties for violations: $1,000 for first offense, $2,500 for second offense, and $5,000 for third and subsequent offenses
