Requires health insurance carriers offering managed care plans to automatically approve credentialing applications for physicians whose New Jersey medical licenses are in good standing with the State Board of Medical Examiners

Applies to both initial credentialing applications and credential renewal applications for participation in carrier provider networks

Covers physicians seeking to participate directly in networks as well as those employed by hospitals or other health care facilities seeking network participation

Carriers may still request additional information beyond the universal application form, provided it does not duplicate information already included in the form

Takes effect immediately and applies to credentialing applications received on or after the effective date
