Restaurants charging mandatory gratuities must prominently disclose them on the menu, at the restaurant entrance, on the patron's bill, and on the restaurant's website if applicable

Civil penalties for violations: $1,000 for first offense, $2,500 for second offense, and $5,000 for third and subsequent offenses

Each day a violation occurs constitutes a separate and distinct offense

Penalties collected through civil action under the Penalty Enforcement Law of 1999, with Superior Court jurisdiction

Takes effect on the first day of the third month following enactment
