Local governments (municipalities, counties, school districts, and other political subdivisions) are prohibited from naming property such as roads, bridges, schools, buildings, neighborhoods, communities, or parks after federally designated foreign terrorist organizations or lands controlled by such organizations

Within 30 days of enactment, local governments must remove all signs, street pole banners, plaques, and displays supporting or naming property after foreign terrorist organizations; within 90 days, affected properties must be renamed

The Division of Local Government Services, in consultation with the Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, must develop and annually update a publicly available list of designated foreign terrorist organizations and their controlled territories

Local governments violating the law face daily deductions from their State aid allocation, calculated by dividing total annual State aid by the number of days in the fiscal year

The State will reimburse local governments for costs incurred in removing signs and renaming properties to comply with the law
