Mandates all health insurance plans in New Jersey provide coverage for testing for suspected dyslexia, including comprehensive neuropsychological examinations for diagnosis

Applies to hospital service corporations, medical service corporations, health service corporations, individual and group health insurance policies, small employer health benefits plans, and health maintenance organizations

Requires coverage to include determining the psychological, emotional, and educational wellness needs of individuals tested for dyslexia

Prohibits insurers from excluding coverage for screening, diagnosis, or treatment of medical conditions otherwise covered by the policy when related to dyslexia

Extends requirements to contracts purchased by the State Health Benefits Commission and School Employees' Health Benefits Commission

Takes effect on the first day of the sixth month following enactment, applying to contracts issued or renewed on or after that date
