Mandates compliance with standard maintenance and operating procedures for equipment, including inspections by state-certified boiler inspectors, with proof of inspection provided to the Department of Community Affairs

Prohibits qualifying museums from offering paid admission for locomotive rides or selling tickets for rides at specific times in order to maintain the exemption

Targets scale model replica steam locomotives operated by historical museums that do not meet the weight threshold for Department of Transportation regulation but currently may be classified as amusement rides
