Expands the "law enforcement officer" (LEO) category within the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) to include permanent, full-time campus police officers who do not meet age or medical requirements for enrollment in the Police and Firemen's Retirement System (PFRS)

Campus police officers qualifying for LEO status would receive enhanced retirement benefits not available to standard PERS members

Eligible campus police officers would be automatically enrolled in the LEO category unless they waive that right, though they would still be subject to mandatory retirement provisions for LEO positions

Amends P.L.1955, c.257 (C.43:15A-97) to add campus police officers appointed under P.L.1970, c.211 to the statutory definition of "law enforcement officer"
