Establishes a three-year Gun Court Pilot Program in Mercer County Superior Court to handle criminal cases involving guns or other dangerous weapons used in the commission of crimes

Requires judges assigned to the Gun Court to have extensive knowledge and experience in criminal law, criminal procedure, and criminal sentencing, particularly related to violent crime

Administrative Office of the Courts will administer the program and submit reports to the Legislature at 12 months after program organization and within 6 months after expiration

Reports must evaluate the program's impact on criminal sentencing, court calendar and workload, overall effectiveness, and recommend whether to continue or expand the program statewide

Takes effect on the first day of the third month after enactment and automatically expires three years after the effective date
