Prohibits medical students, post-graduate residents, and other students from performing examinations on anesthetized or unconscious female patients without first obtaining informed consent from a supervising health care practitioner

Exempts examinations that are determined to be medically necessary from the informed consent requirement

Allows female patients to choose whether to undergo an examination before or after anesthesia administration, provided the exam is within the scope of the scheduled procedure or deemed medically necessary

Authorizes the Commissioner of Health to establish rules and regulations to implement the law

Takes effect 180 days after enactment
