Designates September of each year as "Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Awareness Month" in New Jersey

Requests the Governor to issue an annual proclamation recognizing the awareness month and encouraging State agencies, organizations, and citizens to participate in appropriate awareness activities and programs

Recognizes that Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a fatal genetic disease affecting approximately 1 in 3,500 male infants, with an average life expectancy of 25 years

Acknowledges that early diagnosis, treatment access, and optimal care including cardiopulmonary treatment may extend life expectancy by approximately 15 years

Supports New Jersey non-profit organizations like JAR of Hope and Ryan's Quest that raise awareness, advocate for care access, and fund research for DMD treatments and a cure
