Designates May of each year as "Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders Awareness Month" in New Jersey

Requests the Governor to annually issue a proclamation recognizing the month and calling upon public officials and citizens to observe it with appropriate activities and programs

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) affects at least 1 in 5,000 people worldwide and involves genetic mutations in connective tissue causing joint instability, fragile skin, chronic pain, and fatigue

Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD) cause joint hypermobility, instability, injury, and pain, often accompanied by fatigue, headaches, and gastrointestinal problems

Aims to increase public awareness of these heritable connective tissue disorders and promote continued research into diagnosis and treatment
