Timbuctoo was established in 1826 by four men who escaped enslavement in Maryland: David Parker, Wardell Parker, Ezekiel Parker, and Hezekiah Hall

The community served as a stop on the Underground Railroad due to its strategic location near the Delaware River and Rancocas Creek

Recognizes the 1860 "Battle of Pine Swamp" when Timbuctoo residents successfully defended Perry Simmons from slave catcher George Alberti's raiding party

Directs copies of the resolution to be sent to the New Jersey Black Heritage Trail Advisory Committee, Timbuctoo Advisory Committee, and Timbuctoo Historical Society
