Cites that as of December 2024, New Jersey's Division of Child Protection and Permanency had 2,539 children in resource family and kinship care, with 388 children exiting into adoption throughout 2024

Notes that nationally, approximately 115,000 children are adopted annually, while over 20,000 young people age out of foster care each year without family support
