Designates the last day of February each year as "Rare Disease Awareness Day" in New Jersey to raise public awareness and encourage support for affected patients and families

Acknowledges that nearly 7,000 rare diseases affect approximately 30 million Americans, with a rare disease defined as any condition affecting fewer than 200,000 people in the United States

Notes that over 15 million Americans with rare diseases may have no treatment specific to their condition, despite approximately 420 orphan drugs being approved

Requests the Governor to annually issue a proclamation calling on public officials and citizens to observe the day with appropriate activities and programs

Aligns with the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) nationwide observance of Rare Disease Day
