Urges the Governor to designate 2026 as "The Year of Black History" in New Jersey, marking 100 years since Dr. Carter G. Woodson established "Negro History Week" in 1926 and the nation's 250th anniversary of independence.

Requests the Department of State coordinate year-long events including educational programs, cultural exhibitions, public awareness campaigns during Black History Month, and community discussions highlighting African American contributions in New Jersey.

Calls on the Department of Education to develop and distribute educational materials promoting African American history instruction in schools statewide.

Encourages the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and Motion Picture and Television Development Commission to collaborate with nonprofits on initiatives promoting films, documentaries, and media focused on African American history and culture.

Highlights notable African Americans from New Jersey including Paul Robeson and Alice Walker as examples of indelible contributions to arts, sciences, politics, and social justice.
