Adds current members of the New Jersey State Legislature to the list of officials authorized to solemnize marriages and civil unions while they hold office

Amends existing statute R.S.37:1-13, which already authorizes judges, mayors, surrogates, county clerks, clergy, and certified civil celebrants to perform ceremonies

Legislators would join federal and state judges, municipal court judges, administrative law judges, surrogates, mayors, township committee chairmen, and village presidents among public officials with this authority

The authorization applies only during the legislator's term of office and takes effect immediately upon enactment
