NJ S1139

Establishes the "Parents Bill of Rights Act" in New Jersey, declaring that parents and guardians have a fundamental right to engage in and direct their child's education.

Requires schools to provide parents with a summary of curriculum for the current school year, access to review the full curriculum, and a list of textbooks, media services, and books used in classrooms or available through the district.

Allows parents to opt their child out of any curriculum that conflicts with their conscience or sincerely held moral or religious beliefs, with no penalties to credit or graduation.

Prohibits schools and school districts from interfering with parental rights or denying information requests made under this act.
