Prohibits health clubs from including liability waivers in service contracts that would shield them from responsibility for injuries caused by negligence of owners, operators, agents, or employees

Amends the existing health club services contract law (P.L.1987, c.238) to add this consumer protection

Codifies the legal position from Justice Albin's dissent in Pulice v. Green Brook Sports & Fitness (2018), which argued such liability limitations violate public policy

Violations constitute unlawful practices under New Jersey's consumer fraud act, punishable by up to $10,000 for first offenses and $20,000 for subsequent offenses

Takes effect on the first day of the ninth month following enactment
