Omnibus (bus) drivers must visually inspect their bus at the end of each transportation route to ensure no person with a disability has been left on board

Commercial motor vehicle driving privileges will be suspended for one month for a first offense, six months for a second offense, and permanently revoked for a third offense of leaving a disabled passenger on the bus

Permanent revocation of driving privileges applies if a driver acts with gross negligence and a disabled passenger left on the bus is harmed as a result of foreseeable danger

The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission must record any violations in the driver's records and report suspensions or revocations to the federal Commercial Driver License Information System (CDLIS)

The law takes effect on the first day of the fourth month following enactment
