New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) and South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA) must send written notice of toll violations within 60 days, including the nature, date, time, and location of the alleged violation.

Vehicle owners must receive a 30-day period to remedy toll violations and pay the unpaid toll before any administrative fee can be issued or collected.

Written notices must explain the process for resolving violations and warn that failure to remedy within the 30-day period will result in administrative fees.

Authorities are prohibited from issuing or collecting administrative fees unless the required written notice has been provided and the 30-day remedy period has expired.

The bill takes effect on the first day of the third month after enactment, with authorities permitted to take preparatory administrative actions beforehand.
