Municipalities receiving a vacant land adjustment to their affordable housing obligation can rely on that adjusted calculation for the full 10-year compliance period under New Jersey's Fair Housing Act.

If additional land becomes available during the 10-year period, municipalities would not be required to recalculate their affordable housing obligation.

The bill amends P.L.1995, c.231, which governs how the Council on Affordable Housing excludes certain lands (conservation areas, historic sites, agricultural lands with restricted development rights, etc.) from vacant land calculations.
