Adds Bergen County to the list of pilot counties eligible to participate in the Common Sense Shared Services Pilot Program, expanding the program from seven to eight counties

The pilot program allows municipalities to share services for tenured local employees including municipal clerks, chief financial officers, assessors, tax collectors, treasurers, and public works superintendents

Permits dismissal of tenured local employees who are not selected as service providers under shared services agreements between pilot municipalities

Dismissed tenured employees must be reappointed to their former position with restored tenure if the shared services agreement is cancelled or expires within two years of their dismissal

Currently participating pilot counties are Atlantic, Camden, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Sussex, and Warren counties
