Expands eligibility for the Prosecutors Part of the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) to include directors, assistant directors, deputy directors, assistant attorneys general, and deputy attorneys general in the Divisions of Law and Alcoholic Beverage Control within the Department of Law and Public Safety.

Currently, only employees of the Division of Criminal Justice within the Department of Law and Public Safety qualify for the Prosecutors Part of PERS.

Service credit established in PERS prior to the bill's effective date would transfer to the Prosecutors Part without additional cost to the employee.

County prosecutors or acting county prosecutors previously enrolled in the Defined Contribution Retirement Program may receive service credit in the Prosecutors Part after repaying equivalent contribution amounts.
