Appropriates $1.2 million from the General Fund as a supplemental appropriation to the Community College Opportunity Grant program for fiscal year ending June 30, 2026

Funds are directed to the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority under the Department of State for Student Assistance Programs

The Community College Opportunity Grant covers remaining tuition and approved educational fees not covered by other aid for eligible students taking up to 18 credits per semester

Eligible students must be enrolled in at least six credits, lack a prior college degree, complete a FAFSA or NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application, meet academic progress standards, and have household income between $0 and $65,000

Prior grant recipients with household income of $65,001-$80,000 may receive up to half the maximum award, while those with income of $80,001-$100,000 may receive up to one-third
