Individuals seeking certification through the alternate route must complete the anti-racism course or training within one year of being employed.

Educator preparation program providers must update their programs and submit revisions to the Department of Education for approval, while also posting syllabi and required text titles on their websites.

The required course must address diversity and inclusion in teaching effectiveness, develop educators' racial literacy, encourage examination of personal biases, and explain how race and racism affect grading, discipline, and student placement decisions.

The requirements take effect in the first full school year following the bill's enactment.
