Expands New Jersey Medicaid coverage to include unilateral or bilateral hearing aids, cochlear implants, and auditory osseointegrated devices when deemed medically necessary and prescribed by a licensed physician or audiologist

Covers related accessories and services associated with the hearing devices, not just the devices themselves

Codifies existing Medicaid coverage for hearing aids while adding cochlear implants (devices implanted under the skin that convert sounds to electrical impulses) and auditory osseointegrated devices (skull-implanted devices that provide mechanical energy to the cochlea)

Requires the Commissioner of Human Services to apply for federal Medicaid waivers or state plan amendments necessary to implement the expanded coverage and secure federal financial participation

Takes effect on the first day of the fourth month following enactment, with the Commissioner authorized to take anticipatory administrative action beforehand
